I earn cash back on every purchase with my cash rewards credit cards.
If you plan to spend at least $500 this year (Christmas gifts, back to school shopping, stuff for college, groceries, etc.) you should definitely apply for a card below. You could earn $150.00, and 1.5% cash back. It's that simple.
How I bought $500 worth of stuff, and paid $342.50 for it:
Step 1: I applied for and received the Chase Freedom Unlimited card.
Step 2: I used the card and spent $500 within the first 3-months:
Received the one-time cash back credit: $150
Earned 1.5% cash back on my purchases (1.5% x $500): $7.50
Purchase Amount: $500
Total Rewards: $150 + $7.50 = $157.50
Purchase minus Total Rewards: $500 - $157.50 = $342.50
So, my $500 purchase cost me = $342.50
